The School of International Business Administration (SIBA)
was established on the basis of the amalgamation of the
three former individual departments and specialty, namely
department of Industrial Economics, department of Trade
Economics, international trade specialty of department of
World Economy.
At present, the school comprises 7 specialties ,
covering such diverse fields as Industrial Economics,
Business Administration, Marketing, International Trade,
World Economy, Tourism Management, and Human Resource
Management. All these fields had got a long history that
could traced back to 50 years ago which was then departments
of Industrial Economics, Business Administration,
Corporation Economy and International Trade of Shanghai
Business School. The school used to own a high-level
research faculty of prominent professors and researchers,
including Sun Huai Ren, Ma Jia Hua, Cheng Zhao Fen, Yan Xue
feng, Mei Ru He, Peng Hui Fang, Huang Zhi Min, Li Xiang, Xu
Xin Li, Yang Gong Pu, Yan Guang Hua and Zhu Zhong Di. In
recent years, the school has nurtured and attracted a large
numbers of middle-and- young age outstanding professors and
doctors, comprised rich educational resources.
The school has 6 doctoral programs and 6 master
programs (including Industrial Economics, Business
Administration, Marketing, International Trade, World
Economy, Tourism Management), owning 20 doctoral advisors.
Industrial Economics, Business Administration and
International Trade are track courses in Shanghai.
Industrial Economics & Business Administration is granted to
a prior construction project of ˇ°211 programˇ±.
At present, the school has got 75
faculties, among which are 19 professor (25.3%), 38
associate professors (50.7%), 16 lectures (21.3%), including
43 PH.D and 19 Masters. There are overall 1164
undergraduates , 557 graduates and PH.D candidates studying
or doing researches in the school.
